# Do the facilitators participate in the ceremonies?

Yes, as a part of their responsibilities, the facilitators drink a microdose of ayahuasca to connect with the spirit of the plant and be in tune with the energy of the room.  This dose allows them to function adequately in assisting all guests in their process.
